A black and white view of several women engaged in sewing in a room or public meeting room [Note the portrait of the King on the mantle. Note also the desk at left]. These may be members of the Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire (IODE) who routinely did sewing for service men stationed overseas in World War I.
